ROLFO'S activity is located in a selected and typical area where wine making is an old tradition.The hilly area where Cisterna d'Asti is located is in the northern park of Cuneo province situated on the left side of the river Tanaro, whilst it is nearly flat towards the Po valley.A panorama of hills and valleys between Alba, Cisterna d'Asti and Montà d'Alba, several small village towns that have agricolture and particulary grapes growing as a main activity.this land is rich in culture, and has a tradition. Each peak of a hill has castle, a tower or ruins that are important witnesses of old high nobility tradition. Visitors can admire a panorama that is perfect in harmony whit natural caracteristics and works made by man during the century. The hills are mainly sandy dry earth which is particulary adapted for growing grapes, growth of fruit and various vegetables.The wine has found in this special area its natural habitat thanks to the dedication of wine producer that have mantained.
